Who Skilled Safety Management is
SSM was founded in 2024 by Raja Khan, a NYC site safety professional who built the firm around a simple principle: credentialed managers should be employed, supported, and respected like professionals — and clients should be able to trust who's actually on their site.
That principle shows up in how we run. Every license SSM offers is held by an SSM W-2 employee. We don't rent credentials, we don't broker 1099s. The Site Safety Manager who signs your logbook works for us, was hired by us, is trained and renewed by us, and is insured by us. There is one chain of accountability on every project, and it starts at our office in Sunset Park.
SSM serves general contractors, construction managers, developers, building owners, and self-perform builders on commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, infrastructure, and mixed-use projects throughout NYC. Our coverage includes the five NYC boroughs, Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk), and Westchester County. For projects outside this coverage area, contact us and we'll discuss whether we can support the project or recommend a regional firm.
